BA (hons) Fine Art

Olivia Fenwick is a visual artist and feminist who specialises in multimedia based works that aim to disrupt and challenge societal perceptions of gender, sexuality, including how the female body can politicised and censored. She is especially interested in the differences in social attitudes between male and female bodies and draws upon this in a thoughtful and at times playful way through the mediums of drawing, needlework, sculpture and also photography and installation. The intent of her art is not to affirm gender barriers and antagonise an audience. But, by exploring gendered constructs in society she aims to provoke an audience’s consideration of key themes pertinent to feminism and specifically those addressing female sexuality.
